Once you start your exercise routine make sure that you set clear and reachable goals for yourself. Do not make impossibly hard to reach goals as this will only lead you to believing you can never accomplish this and you will end up quitting. A good goal would be to lose about a pound or two a month. A reasonable goal would be to give up your favorite junk food on the weekdays but allowing yourself a treat on the weekends. This way you do not feel deprived.
Remember to eat breakfast in the morning. This is the easiest meal to skip because a lot of us are in a rush in the morning or simply would just rather use the extra time to sleep in. Skipping breakfast will make you hungrier throughout the day. This will result in eating more than you should at lunch. By eating a big and hearty breakfast first thing in the morning you allow your body to take all day to burn off the calories.
Exercise regularly. It does not have to be an hour and a half workout at the gym. A simple 15 minute jog will do. If you do not like to jog, make it a 30 minute brisk walk around your neighborhood. The more your body gets used to exercising the more your body gets used to exercising the more you will start to enjoy it. Never push yourself too hard. Don’t expect to run a 5k marathon after a month of exercising. However, do expect to see results in not only your appearance but also in the overall feeling you get from a good workout.
Avoid junk food. Learn what foods are healthy and what foods are unhealthy.This will aid in losing weight more than you know.
