Exercising Doesn’t Have To Be Difficult And Expensive
Exercise is a great to burn calories and keep yourself fit and your energy levels up, and the best thing is that often we do it without realizing it. Even doing something like washing your car is going to be a good little work out and get you sweating and burn some calories, or putting the shopping away, it is all exercise. In fact there are plenty of ways to exercise in the comfort of your own home so you don’t need to pay a fortune to attend a gym and you can’t use rain or cold weather as an excuse not to exercise if you are doing it in your house.
Here are some of my favorite ways to exercise at home:
Get some weights: Lifting weights is one form of exercise that people tend to ignore in favor of cardio exercise, but it is very effective. You will also tone and sculpt your body as you do it which is an added incentive. You can’t just jump into weight training though, you really need a professional plan to follow, read this Burn The Fat Feed The Muscle review for information on one you could try. Having a plan to follow means you don’t need to guess at which exercises are going to get the best results, weight training is a bit of a science if you want to get it right.
To get started all you really need is a set of fixed dumbbells, but if you want to get serious then a workout bench, a set of weights and a few different sized bars is the only option. When you are doing certain exercises like bench press then you will have a bar with a lot of weight on above you, so ideally you should have somebody there who can step in and help when you are tired out and struggle to get the bar back into the holders.
Walking: This is the kind of exercise I encourage everyone to do. It isn’t going to damage your joints like jogging or running might do, yet you can still get out of breath if you walk fast enough, and even a gentle walk is good for you. If you want to do it inside your house though then you are really going to need a treadmill. I know they can be pretty expensive, but if you go for the manual rather than electric ones you can get a bargain. Normally people don’t like them as they tend to be more fragile and don’t hold up well to the stress when you are jogging on them, but as you will just be walking on it then it is perfect as it takes up less room and often folds away for storage.
Take up dancing: Having a good dance is enjoyable and certainly not what people would class as exercise, yet it is very active and will certainly burn a few calories as you do it. This is an easy thing to do in your home, all you need is some music and you can get started, but if you don’t know how to dance or want some more structure then you can just buy a dance DVD to follow instead. If you prefer something more interactive then try the computer games that are out. You have a mat with sensors in and you have to try and replicate the dance moves that the character on screen does in order to get points.
